Movie and Craft

On Tuesday, April 23rd at 4pm, come to the library and enjoy a movie and free popcorn!

This newly released Disney movie tells the story of 17-year-old Asha, who makes a passionate plea to the stars in a moment of need, and meets a living, magic star which has fallen from the sky.

Zen Den

On Thursday, April 25th starting at 4 pm, teens are invited to a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournament at the library!

Welcome to the “Zen Den” – the ultimate after-school hangout for teens! Every other Thursday at 4pm we will dive into crafts, binge-watch movies and anime. Challenge your friends to video game battles in a welcoming space just for you.

Mahjong

Are you interested in learning a new game to play with family and friends? On Friday, May 3rd at 1 pm we will get together for a fun game of Mahjong here at the library. Learn the rules of this traditional Chinese game and play some Mahjong.  No experience necessary. For adults only.

LEGO Play Day

Kids, unleash your imagination! Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 4pm, join us for free-play with LEGO bricks galore!

Summer Reading Kickoff date

We have set a date for the beginning of this year’s Summer Reading. The Summer Reading Kickoff Party will be on Monday, June 3rd. Come to our party, sign up for Summer Reading, and enjoy a performance by Mad Science!

Comics Plus

Comics Plus, powered by LibraryPass, is a digital platform offering thousands of digital comics, graphic novels and manga to readers for free through the State Library of Kansas eCard.  You can access titles using a smartphone, tablet, or web browser, and can be downloaded to multiple devices. There is never a wait to read, all titles are unlimited access simultaneous use.

All titles are available 24/7 for online and offline reading. An internet connection is required to browse the collection and check out titles, while downloaded titles are accessible offline via the LibraryPass app for iOS or Android.

If you’re already using Comics Plus or want to start, it’s just got a little easier to use. Kansas Library eCard holders are now able to log into Comics Plus, both the website and the apps, using their eCard number and PIN (which is their date of birth in MMDDYYYY format).

If you don’t have a State Library of Kansas eCard yet, talk to a librarian about getting one. They are free to all residents of Kansas.
