Adventure Begins at Your Library

Summer Reading is nearly here!

Help us kickoff Summer Reading on Thursday, June 3rd with our Summer Reading Kick Off Party. From 12 to 2 pm there will be games, prizes, hot dogs, and more! After that, starting at 2 pm, Mad Science will present “Dino Show”, a program millions of years in the making.  All ages are welcome.

Signup begins June 3rd. Sign up online at https://lmlibrary.org/srp2024 or stop by the Kick Off Party to sign up!

The Children’s Summer Reading Program

How it Works

Earn prizes by reading 5, 10, and 15 hours! Fill out and turn in a reading log by July 13th to qualify to earn prizes. For every hour your child reads (or is read to), color in one circle on the reading log. Bring your reading log in after five circles are filled and get a prize. Earn another prize for ten circles, and earn a final prize for fifteen circles!

Come in to the library to pick up your reading log and Summer Reading calendar.

The Teen and Adult Summer Reading Programs

How it Works

Teens and adults, play our Summer Reading Adventure Bingo to receive prizes and raffle tickets for chances to win more prizes.

Complete a bingo square by performing the actions or reading the books described on the bingo sheet square. Earn a bingo by completing a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line. For each square completed, have a library employee stamp that spot. Attending a program allows you to get any spot stamped. First bingo receives a prize. For each spot stamped you will receive a raffle ticket for chances to win prizes. Black Out receives 10 extra raffle tickets.

Saturday, July 13th is the last day to turn in raffle tickets.

The Teen Summer Reading Program is open to teens ages 12 to 17. The Adult Program is open to adults ages 18 and up.

Come into the library to pick up a bingo sheet (one sheet for Teens and another for Adults) and a copy of the Summer Reading calendar.
